ExCEEd Orphan Unites in Sopron to Advance Rare Disease Patient Care

The ExCEEd Orphan team gathered in Sopron, Hungary for a two-day meeting focused on in-depth discussions about rare disease therapies. Participants shared experiences and ideas with the goal of bringing hope and better treatment options to patients with rare conditions across 17 countries.

The organization’s mission is to address evolving unmet patient needs in rare diseases and improve access to rare disease medicines in the Central and Eastern European region. As they emphasize, it will require collaboration from all stakeholders – industry, government, and other key players – to ensure patients can receive approved medicines in their respective regions.

The meeting provided an opportunity for reflection, mutual learning, and renewed focus on what matters most – patients and their families.
